The seneschal is the chief administrative officer of an SCA recognized branch, whose primary responsibility is the smooth operation of the branch. The seneschal typically runs the local meetings, and administers the operation of the branch, reporting on branch activities as required to the other officers of the kingdom. More simply, they become the branch's representative to the outside world, both modern and SCA.

These pages contain access to all the information a seneschal should need to smoothly run his or her local branch. If a branch seneschal has any questions or problems, contact the regional seneschal immediately for assistance. Specific questions relating to issues listed on the left, such as Media Relations or New Branches, are better directed to the Kingdom deputy for that topic (see the bar to the left for the Kingdom Deputies and their respective spheres of influence).
